SMART CITY
INDUSTRY AWARDS 2016

More than 50% of the world’s population lives in cities.
By 2050, this figure will rise to nearly 75%.
The pressure is on to sustainably provide energy, housing, transportation, security, food, and water. Creating intelligent urban environments that efficiently support this growth requires vision, efficient use of technology and resources, an enabling infrastructure, and an environment that attracts a supporting and talented workforce.
This program will uncover the newest trends and developments that are driving smart city innovation in Romania today.
It brings together those players who are invested in entrepreneurship and moving ideas from research to market to support the rise of the smart city.
The annual Smart City Industry Awards for 2016 will be held at the Romanian Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Bucharest, Romania on October 12th, 2016.
